Chris Cunningham moved to Hilton Head in 1987 from Oregon to explore the restaurant industry. After working in restaurants he began to develop an interest in wine and the ever changing wine industry. In ‘94 Cunningham went to work with the Lowrey Group at CQ’s Restaurant as a server/bartender.  After four years at CQ’s he left to spearhead the wine and beverage program at a new restaurant.  Working as general manager and bar manager for several years, in various restaurants, he decided to take it to the next level and took a job as a wine sales representative for one of the major wine distributors in the state of South Carolina. In 2008 Cunningham reunited with the Lowrey Group as director of wine and spirits.  In addition to the Wine and Spirits Club Web site, Cunningham helps our group’s restaurant managers by educating wait staff and presenting new ideas for their individual wine programs, as well as, hosting all Lowrey Group Wine & Spirits Club tastings and dinners.
